Brief Description

Llandovery Folk Dancing uses a wide range of ‘callers‘ (people leading the dance sessions) with a variety of folk traditions. See programme for details and venues.

We meet regularly on third Friday of the month (except August) with only an occasional variation. Dancing starts around 7.30pm, with the Dolau Bran sessions finishing at about 10.30pm and the larger events continuing until later.

Refreshments
Smaller events: homemade cakes and cold and hot drinks are available in the break. Larger events may vary but usually sandwiches and cakes are again available with tea and coffee.

Alcoholic Drinks
Bring your own alcoholic drinks unless we are holding the event in the Castle Hotel (which is licenced).

Weather
In the event of bad weather we occasionally cancel a planned session, if in doubt either contact us or view the website which will be updated regularly.

Committee
An annual meeting is held in October each year, notice will be given and all are welcomed. The minutes are available from the secretary.
